Osaka Aquarium is the best aquarium I have ever been to! 8 floors of marine life! The highlight was the whale shark. He was in a massive aquarium with other sharks, rays, skates and fishes. He was huge but also graceful. The focus of the aquarium was the Ring of Fire, so we were able to see animals from the entire Pacific ocean. We saw a capybara, penguins, Pacific white sided dolphins, octopuses, turtles, anchovies and sardines (and not on a pizza - but actually swimming!), giant spider crabs and jelly fish. The jelly fish above had it's own luminescence! It was beautiful - I wish the picture could do it more justice... If you find yourself in Osaka, this is a must see!
