Block by Block: Flame

​Take your knitting to the next level and learn how to create a beautiful eyelet pattern in this class!  In this Block by Block series class and we will eventually end up with a blanket… or several pillows… or a long scarf – you decide!  In this class we will be learning how to create a block with a fun texture using eyelets.   Join me on August 20 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.  The supplies can all be purchased at Village Yarn Company:  1 skein worsted weight yarn and  size US 8 needles.  Space is limited, so sign up early!

Learn to Knit

Ages 16+. Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit but weren’t sure how to get started? This beginner single session class will walk you through the very basics of knitting: cast on, knit stitch, and casting off. This class is perfect for people who have never picked up needles before and want to learn the very basics to knitting.  We will begin working on a water bottle holder.  All supplies will be provided for the class – all you do is show up!  Space is limited, so sign up early!  Min 1/Max 8   1 class - Wednesday evenings     WWT lower level

Learn to Knit 2

​Do you know the knit stitch and ready to move on to the purl stitch?  This next level single session beginner class will walk you through the next steps of knitting: purling and stockinette stitch pattern. You should know how to cast on, the knit stitch and casting off for this class.  We will be making a washcloth with a cute picture!  Pictures of our project can be found on claireknits.com.  All supplies will be provided for the class – all you do is show up!  Space is limited, so sign up early! Description:  The weather is turning colder!  It’s time to knit a cozy hat for the chill in the air.  In this 2 session beginner knitting class, we will learn to cast on, the knit & purl stitch and decrease stitches.  Pictures of the project can be found on claireknits.com.  Supplies will be provided for the classes – bring your own pom pom.  Space is limited, so sign up early!  Min 1/Max 10

​Knit a Teeny Tiny Christmas Stocking
Skill level: Intermediate
Wednesdays – 2 sessions: September 28 & October 5, October 19 & November 9

Description:  It’s time to get working on Christmas gifts!  Why not make your family and friends a cute little Christmas stocking ornament?  At the same time, you will be learning the basics of sock knitting and knitting in the round.  Prerequisites for this class are to be comfortable with casting on and the knit and purl stitches.  Pictures of the project can be found on claireknits.com.  All supplies will be provided for the classes – all you need to do is show up!  Space is limited, so sign up early!  Min 1/Max 10
